Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

CBT is the most widely-used psychiatric treatment approach for anxiety conditions, and is commonly called “talk therapy”. CBT focuses on coping strategies and behaviors. The goal of CBT is not to identify a particular disease in the patient, but to treat the symptoms as a whole with alternate thoughts and behaviors. CBT has been shown to have great success in treating disorders such as schizophrenia, borderline personality disorder, anxiety, ADHD, and many others.
